Joy Restoration International is a non-profit organization that seeks to help lonely individuals such as single parents, divorced, separated, widows, orphans, street children, homeless, squatters, and other lonely individuals who have suffered financially, emotionally, and physically due to life's inevitable circumstances.

The Story of Joy Restoration International

Out of the blue I got a very severe allergy problem that I had to stay home for an entire three months. Being a very outgoing person who loves to be with people made it very difficult for me to stay home. After the third month, I noticed my joy starting to vanish. For the very first time in my life I experienced what I believe most people call depression.

It felt like the whole world sat on top of me. It was a very ugly feeling and I did not like it. I prayed unceasingly for God's guidance to explain to me what I was going through. I felt like God was telling me that I needed to experience these negative emotions in order to understand how others feel. He said most people live that way every single day. I only felt this way for a few hours and I could not stand it.

I asked Him why I had to experience these feelings, and His answer was He wanted me to help others break free from their depression. That's when Joy Restoration International was born.

Four years later, Joy Restoration International has grown into a community of volunteers who feed the hungry, help street children, the homeless, single moms, and widows. We also started college scholarships. All this helps propel our mission to put laughter back into people's lives by spreading hope around the globe.
