	He Saved Me From Drowning Three Times Just like most kids , I also used to really love the water when I was a child. I remembered how I learned my first lesson to swim. Our friend's dog used to swim with us at the beach. My two other sisters , Fe , Soling and I swam with the dog side by side trying to imitate the dog's style. That was our fisrt teacher who taught us how to do dog's paddle. Maybe that's why I almost got drowned three times. Her dog never had a a swimming instructor's license. My third drowning experience was the most amazing one! Our friends and I rented a boat that fits about twenty five people and we decided to go island hopping. The sand was white as snow. It was very hard to tell how deep it really was because it was almost see through. While they were playing games at the boat , I decided to go at the back of the boat and jumped into the ocean. I thought it was just four feet deep. To my surprise , I went deep down to the bottom of the ocean bed in a speed of light. I got panicked and started to pray. I forgot I was underwater so I drank a lot of water. It was then that I realized to pray in my mind. It felt like I had fallen down a hundred feet deep. It took me a little while to hit the bootom. After I prayed, it was then that I felt a very strong hand pulling me upward in a matter of seconds till I was on the surface. That was the time I was able to yell for help. However, since I always joke around it took them quite a while to really believe me. It was only when my close friend Pacita saw me and told them I was not joking anymore that they saved me ,but I was already looking like a purple grape. I could never forget my first encounter of the God- kind underwater. Years passed. One day during my devotional time I read something in Psalms 18:16-18 that really got my attention. It talked about my miraculous rescue from under water. It says," He reached down from heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of the deep waters . He delivered me from my powerful enemies ,from those who hated me and were too strong for me.They attacked me at moment when I was weakest , but the Lord upheld me.He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me." I could not believe it was there! Since then it has become a very special Psalms to me. God the most powerful One took the time to rescue me when I called Him in my distress. He is awesome! REFLECTION: Friends, the Bible says that God is not a respecter of person. So, what He did for me , He will also do for you when you call Him for help. Do you feel like you are drowning today from all kinds of troubles? Money, job, relationship, children , people who are very hard to deal with and more. Call Him today. Ask Him to rescue you and to take you to a place of safety. He is just a prayer away. The sooner you call for help, the lesser the degree of your suffering will be. His hand is always stretched out towards us to help us. Will you take it for your own good? I hope so. "Safety is not the absence of danger, but the presence of God ."
